From Pre-Alpha to Season 2

I’m back to Lust Academy, after all these years. I’ve already reviewed this game on some of my other sites, but it’s overdue for a redo. It’s been a while. I said, years ago, that this game was a 40 minute adventure with a lot of potential for the future. As it turns out, we’re now living in the future. Lust Academy has actually been finished, sort of. They wrapped up a first season, the same way Being a DIK went about their development back in the day. These kinds of episodic 3DCG games can drag on forever. I’m looking at you Milfy City. Luckily, Bear in the Night went about this cleverly. They wrapped up the whole season, giving you a satisfying story with a lot of conclusions across hours of gameplay. The game is now officially a smash hit.

As for season 2, well, there’s already a ton of gameplay out and available for free. The game is entirely funded by Patreon donations, but the first season was also plopped on Steam for some extra profits. Consider getting the first season there if you want to boost the developer’s overall success. They certainly deserve it. Otherwise, just download the damn thing for free. No-one’s going to stop you. These kinds of games run entirely on the expectation of donations and this system’s working great.

Proper indie porn games have a strong socialist vibe to them. Think about it. They’re by the people, for the people and they’re completely free, but you’re also encouraged to feed your fellow artists if you so choose. If you have the money to spare, that is. Who knew that gamers could be trusted to pony up the dough, even when they’re not obligated to. It’s almost as if gamers have a deep appreciation for video games. Who knew!?

A Magical World…of Pussy

This game is almost entirely inspired by the Harry Potter universe, with a lot of unique twists to take it to the next level. First of all, the HP series was originally very drab and mysterious. It was dark as fuck. Even when it was lighthearted, it wasn’t sexy. Hell, for most of the movies, most of the characters were minors. But, I’m not talking about the characters. I’m talking about the universe. The universe was the polar opposite of sexy. Everyone was constantly on edge, terrified and generally dissatisfied of everything.

Lust Academy takes the best parts of the HP universe, namely the magic, the castles and the fantastical beasts, and adds a dash of modern 3DCG writing and models to spice it all up. There’s also a lot of color and lighting, even in dim moments of the game, which makes me that much happier about playing it. I hate moody lighting for the sake of moody lighting. It’s just drab. Show me the damn titties under a fucking spotlight, damn it. I want to be able to make out all the details.

An Engine You Know and Love

Speaking of, there are a lot of titties in Lust Academy. The game manages to be both loaded with story elements and jam packed with sex scenes. These are not your dad’s sex scenes either – they’re primo modern shit in the highest available quality. The only downside is that they’re pre-rendered but unlike most 3DCG games on the market, a lot of the sex scenes in this game are rendered in full resolution at 60FPS. They’re proper animations. The whole game isn’t a slide show.

This is taking things to the next level and then some. The game is still made in Ren’Py, which as I hope you know, is so barebones it could run on a smart fridge. I’m dead serious, you can play Lust Academy on your smart fridge. You can save your progress too. Try not to cum into the ice dispenser. Or do, I’m not your mother. Do whatever the hell you want.

I Want to Bang Them All

The babes are off the hook. There’s one in particular that you should be able to recognize from a mile away. She’s a unique character whose face and body were loosely inspired by Hermione from the Harry Potter universe. Now, there are several things I have to point out here. First of all, she’s clearly much older than Hermione in any and all of the movies. I’d say she looks around 21. Secondly, this entire game takes place in an actual academy. Meaning, it’s college, not middle or high school. This is why I’m trying not to play it too fast and loose with the word “inspired”. Yes, it’s that universe, no it’s not a direct adaptation. – Hell a proper copy would be copyright infringement. Consider it a very loose and adult spiritual successor.

The other babes in the game are equally as hot and they come in vastly different shapes and sizes. There are black chicks, Asian chicks, white chicks, punk redheads, cute brunettes, a couple of older babes that give off mommy vibes… this game has it all. There are even futas in this game. That’s Japanese for trans women, sort of. As far as I understand it futas have both a penis and a vagina, but not in a hermaphroditic way. It’s more of a fantasy. Also, they usually have monster dongs. Don’t ask me why, I do not know. Either way, they have two holes and a rod so dive in. There’s a lot to unpack.

Runs Like a Charm

Remember how I said that Ren’Py is really barebones? Well, that’s what makes it really versatile. It’s compatible with damn near every type of platform we’ve got. You can get this game on Windows, Mac, Android and I’m willing to bet it would also work on iOS if Apple weren’t so fucking difficult to work with. The game runs exactly the same across all platforms. It also looks the same.

The fans of the game took it upon themselves to produce compressed versions for Windows and Mac in case you’d like a smaller game version for no real reason. Those versions clearly come with slightly inferior graphics, due to the compression, but that’s the whole point behind them.

Open-ish World of Smut

The gameplay in Lust Academy is exactly what I want out of a porn game. It’s open world, but not so open that you have to go around grinding monsters in combat. There is no combat, at least, not as a gameplay mechanic. You get to move around and make your own decisions. You choose what girl to talk to and when. You choose what you’re going to do with her and what you’re going to say. There’s so much immersion behind this approach. You have the whole academy and so many other minor locations to explore and shit keeps changing around you. This is top tier porn gameplay at its finest. It would be nice if the game was live 3D instead of pre-rendered, but that would just make it unplayable on 90% of all devices, so fuck that noise. It would also make it so that we have to wait 6 months for 5 minutes of content. It’s not worth it.

No, I think that what we have right now with Lust Academy is exactly what we need. Tons of content, countless faps, so many holes to fuck and a plethora of tits to suck. This is my idea of a fantastic time. I actually didn’t know how far they’ve come along with this game until I dove into this review. I haven’t tried Lust Academy in years. I wasn’t expecting to see this much progress, but as it turns out, Bear in the Night are not fucking around.

This is the kind of porn game that I can recommend to just about anyone out there. I might be misremembering, but I think there was even an actual regular-ass dude that you could romance, for some gay action. I think he was in season 1. Hell, call it a surprise for yourself. Either way, you aren’t forced to bang anyone you don’t want to. I think the futa content can be permanently disabled if you’d like that. I don’t see why you’d do that to yourself, but hey, more choices are always better.

I love indie game devs who clearly care about the game they’re making. They’ve obviously fapped to this shit themselves and I’m sure they care very much about the quality of the finished product. I didn’t run into any bugs or hiccups in my entire time with Lust Academy and I’m currently almost at season 2. And yes, I took a peek of the second season for this review. It just looks like more of what we got in season 1. Hot action, fantastical stories, amazing breasts and wet pussies. This game makes me want to stick my fucking cock straight into my monitor, I swear. Try it out. You’ll see why I’m so fucking excited about Lust Academy. It’s an unforgettable experience that just keeps bringing more pussy to the table.
